The Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies brings together men and women of all backgrounds to study classic Jewish texts and current Jewish issues in an open, warm and challenging learning environment. Pardes offers a number of programs including a Year Program, Center for Jewish Educators, a variety of summer programs, and events in Israel and North America throughout the year.
Located in Jerusalem, the Pardes experience goes beyond the beit midrash (study hall) and students have the opportunity to explore Israel, celebrate Shabbat and festivals as part of a dynamic community and participate in various social action projects.
Pardes’s mission is to:
Provide a co-educational, open, inclusive, diverse and intellectually challenging environment in Jerusalem which engages all Jews in the study of the classic texts and ideas of their heritage.
Offer its students an intense experience of Jewish life and tradition.
Cultivate in its students a life-long love of Jewish learning, the Jewish people and Israel, inspiring them to engage in Jewish life, as communal leaders, educators, and spiritual leaders.
