Charles E. Smith Life Communities High Holiday Help (Rockville)

Volunteers needed at Charles E. Smith Life Communities in Rockville  to escort residents and assist during and after services for Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur at both Traditional and Reform services on the following dates: Tuesday 9/25, Wednesday 9/26. Volunteers are also needed to escort residents to/from services, assist during the services by turning pages for Sukkot on Monday 10/1 and Tuesday 10/2 and Shemini Atzeret on Monday 10/8. 

Jewish Foundation for Group Homes Sukkah-Building and Holiday Visits
 
Sukkah building and decorating at JFGH homes will take place during the week leading up to Sukkot.  Homes are located in Gaithersburg, Potomac, Rockville, Silver Spring MD, Annandale and Reston VA. Deconstruction will be on Sunday, October 14 or any day after that is convenient for volunteers. We will be building 10 or 12 Sukkot.  You are also encouraged to invite one or more residents into your home for a Holiday dinner or lunch, and to come to one of our homes for a Sukkot meal and/or lead residents in the blessings over the lulav and etrog as well as to invite one or more residents into your home for a Holiday dinner or lunch or visit us at other times during the Holidays.
